Who is Jame Day?
Jame Day is the artistic pseudonym of Jaime Dairon Muñoz Ruiz.
In the academic level, he holds a Higher Degree in Musical Pedagogy from the Valencia Conservatory of Music, a Master's in Teaching Training in Secondary Education from the International University of Valencia and a Master's in e-Learning and Social Networks from the International University of La Rioja. He also has a background in Audiovisual Communication, a Bachelor's Degree he started, where he specialized in photography.
He is currently doing his Doctoral Thesis research in the field of New Technologies and Musical Pedagogy.
As a researcher
In the professional field, he works as a pianist, researcher and disseminator in the field of New Technologies applied to Music Education. He is the author of the book Apps for musicians and the blog of the same name . His book, published by the RedbookEditions publishing house (ISBN: 978-84-947917-2-7) is a reference in the sector and has led him to be invited as a speaker, lecturer and trainer in several higher education and professional teaching and pedagogy institutions. In addition, he has participated in different media such as magazines (DoceNotas, Paso Notes) or radio (Lonitud de Onda - National Radio of Spain - Café Clàssic in RadioUPV).
As a teacher
He has worked as a pedagogue specialized in early musical stimulation at the Pipolandia Children's School, and as a piano teacher at the Music School of the Musical Casino of Godella.
He currently works as a Piano teacher at the Pintor Pinazo Music Conservatory of Godella and as Associate Professor in the Department of Education Sciences of the CEU-Cardenal Herrera University, teaching the subjects Development of musical expression and its didactics and Teaching and learning of music education.
As a musician
As a pianist he has participated in the recording of the VozeArte album with the soprano singer Sara Sabag, and has offered concerts in concerts in different auditoriums from Spain (Palau de la Música, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas) and Argentina (Cutural Center Recoleta, University of Maimónides Buenos Aires).
As a soloist, he premiered the Fantasia for piano and orchestra by the composer Brian Martínez with the Turina Youth Orchestra and the Orchestra of the University of Maimónides.
As a photographer
He began the Audiovisual Communication Bachelor's Degree, but he stopped it to get fully to musical training. However, he has always remained linked to photography and works as a photographer sporadically. He has given cover to all the record works of the Argentine composer Claudia Montero, winner of 4 Latin GRAMMY's in 2014, 2016 and 2018. (Photographs by © Jame Day)
